About Eric Day

Eric was born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah. After completing his undergraduate degree in Spanish at the University of Utah in 2005, he moved to Minnesota to attend law school at the University of Minnesota. Although he will always miss the mountains and downhill skiing of Utah, he quickly fell in love with the Twin Cities and Minnesota and now considers it home.

It was a desire to help people that led Eric to attend law school, and his career has reflected and embodied that desire. When first out of law school, Eric worked at a small firm specializing in Bankruptcy and Family law, before starting his own firm focused on Immigration, Family, and Small Business law, where he worked for the bulk of his career. Eric has focused on using his extensive knowledge of the law and his deep empathy for what his clients are experiencing to pursue their objectives.

Eric was excited to join Atticus Family Law because he recognized it as a firm that shared his values of knowledge, trust, transparency, service, responsibility, integrity, and confidentiality. His clients know that he will work tirelessly to make sure their voice is heard, and their goals are zealously pursued. Eric is mindful of the interplay of issues often seen in Family law cases, especially when taking into consideration the need to foster and maintain an ongoing productive co-parenting relationship, and he will advise his clients accordingly.

In addition to his professional work as an attorney, Eric enjoys trying to stay active by hiking, biking, and cross-country skiing, gardening, cooking, volunteering in his community, and spending time with his son and daughter, and their dog Moxie.
