Hourly Fees

Atticus Family Law offers an hourly fee structure on all cases. Using a written fee agreement, the firm sets out its hourly rates for attorney and non-attorney work, which are billed in increments of one tenth (1/10th) of an hour. Under a traditional fee structure, the firm collects a retainer that is deposited in either the firm’s Minnesota or Wisconsin lawyer trust account. As work is completed and billed to the client the earned funds are transferred from the trust account to the firm’s account and upon completion of the firm’s work any remaining retainer funds in the trust account are returned to the client. Retainer payments can be paid with cash, a personal check, a bank or cashier’s check, or a credit card or debit card.
