About Alexandra Reynolds

From Alexandra’s interview for the Masters of Family Law series on ReelLawyers.com

After law school, she aimed to serve her community by returning to Northern Minnesota. Most recently, Alexandra served as coordinator for the Volunteer Attorney Program (VAP), a non-profit organization in Duluth, Minnesota. Her primary duties were to coordinate the needs of various clients and attorneys for eleven counties in Northeastern Minnesota. Together with fulfilling numerous client referrals, she oversaw the staffing of fourteen legal clinics each month. In doing this, she ensured VAP’s clients had easy access to legal services. Family law matters were one of the main areas of need and attention for her and the counsel, oftentimes requiring her to mentor new attorneys in the areas of divorce, custody, and post-decree issues.

“One of the most gratifying aspects of my work is to be the guide for my clients through one of the most difficult times in their lives.”

Prior to her position at VAP, Alexandra served as Associate Attorney with a Duluth general practice law firm. During her time there, she handled a large and varied caseload that primarily focused on family law amongst other matters. She has successfully represented clients through the completion of their family law cases and in court.

Alexandra’s other experience since law school includes working as a Volunteer Attorney for Safe Haven Shelter and Resource Center in Duluth, where she represented Petitioners in Order for Protection and Harassment Restraining Order hearings in court, and as a Domestic Violence Advocate for Tubman Family Alliance in Minneapolis where she guided clients through the process of obtaining orders for protection by writing and filing the petitions and attending daily family court hearings with clients.
