Kate K. Sorenson

Kate K. Sorenson is a dedicated attorney providing exemplary advocacy in complex family law matters. She graduated from the University of Minnesota Law School, where she was a member of the Minnesota Law Review and student director of the Community Mediation Clinic. Before law school, Kate earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and English with Honors from Iowa State University.

Kate deepened her family law knowledge as a judicial clerk for the Honorable Naomi S. Garfinkel. This role allowed her to conduct extensive legal research on complex issues and draft detailed memoranda and court orders, providing her with valuable insights into the significant impact quality advocacy can have on client outcomes.

As an associate attorney at Mack & Santana Law Offices, P.C., Kate managed complex family law cases, including dissolution, child custody, Orders for Protection, and post-decree matters. She collaborated closely with clients and firm partners, drafting precise legal documentation and maintaining open communication with clients and opposing counsel to achieve favorable resolutions.

Kate is a member of the Minnesota State Bar and remains actively connected to the legal community as a member of the Minnesota Lavender Bar Association and the Family Law League.
